Inter-Skriniar together until 2023: "So proud and very happy. I broke contract with my agent to personally sign this one with Inter"

Speaking to Sky Sport, Milan Skriniar shows so much joy for having extended his contract at Inter until 2023.

“I am very happy and proud to be able to wear this shirt for another three years. And it is true, I broke the contract with my agent so that I can sign this one with Inter personally. We want to make a big leap in quality and this season, we are missing one more victory to reach the Champions League which is very important for us. After achieving this, we will start pushing 100% to go as far and as high as possible.”

Everything is happening very quickly. You are improving exponentially just after two years at Inter.

“I am surprised but then again things can happen quickly in football. I was fortunate to do well in the first few matches. Coaches, the club and fans gave me a lot of confidence right away in pre-season, something I did not expect because I just arrived from Sampdoria. Then I played all those games and this year I missed two but the season is not over yet, we only think about achieving our objective. And there are no easy matches in Serie A. We want to win in Naples and then we can rest calmly.”

The gap with Juventus… can it be reduced?

“Yes, we have to push 100% as I said before.”

Goals from center backs are missing this year…

“De Vrij has two or three goals and I still have not scored. But I can still do it in these last two matches.”
