Federico Pastorello, agent and on behalf of Inter, to present first offer for Lukaku: €30M plus Perisic
Inter still have not yet conquered a Champions League spot but management will continue working for next season. The club of Suning is in search of a new striker to replace Mauro Icardi in case of a divorce (not simple) this summer. The first name on the list of Giuseppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio is Romelu Lukaku who just had a very down 2018-2019 campaign at Manchester United.
The Belgian striker, born in 1993 just like Mauro Icardi, does appreciate Inter as a possible future destination and his agent, Federico Pastorello, is working to get this sorted after laying the foundations needed on personal terms (five-year deal, €7.5M). In the coming days, the agent will meet with Ed Woodward, technical director of the Red Devils, to present the first bid from Suning.
Manchester United value Lukaku between €60M and €70M and they prefer cash only offers to reinvest it in the market. But being aware that the Red Devils are still interested in Ivan Perisic, Pastorello will present a bid of €20M-€30M plus the entire ownership of the Croatian, whose value is between €30M-€35M.
There are two reasons why Inter are offering Perisic. The first is that the player has never hidden his desire to play in England and the season reason is that the club would like to clean house, getting rid of those who have been problematic within the club. At the same time, lowering the cash demand would be advisable in order not to invest too much in one player.
