Inter-Lukaku agreement but Manchester United still demanding high figure of €80M
Manchester United will not sell Romelu Lukaku cheaply on the market. According to the Mirror, the club of Old Trafford is expecting a considerable sum this summer from anyone that wants the Belgian striker.
Just two summers ago, the Red Devils management paid just over €100M (bonuses included) to get him from Everton and today, he is no longer in the plans of Ole Solkjaer with only 15 appearances as starter out of 29 since they replaced Jose Mourinho.
On his part, Lukaku would love to play in Italy and has already reached agreement on personal terms with Inter (€10M per year). He now hopes that the €56M offer from Inter is enough to convince Manchester United.
According to vice president Ed Woodward, scoring 42 goals in 96 games with the Red Devils should not depreciate Lukaku’s value so much over the years. For this reason, the request is €80M. In short, Inter have a huge mountain to climb in order to please its new coach in Conte on this front.
