As of this moment, the chances of Keita Balde staying at Inter are practically zero: at least not at the current condition of paying Monaco €34M for his redemption.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the goal scored against Empoli (just at the end of last year) was the beginning of a downfall because on January 16th, he suffered a muscular strain and was out for more than 20 days. Before the injury, the Senegalese had a free path ahead because during that time, Perisic was asking Inter to leave and then we had the situation of Mauro Icardi. Spalletti waited for him to return.

Moving forward to the evening of Inter-Sampdoria on February 17th, Keita was the victim of a prank created by TV program called Le Iene. He was trapped in a hotel and was forced to run away which worsened his injury. The initial diagnosis was only 20 days but instead he was out for more than two months.
