Milito: "2010 Champions League final, most beautiful and important match of my career. Conte to repeat Mou's achievements? I hope so"

“I have wonderful memories of that final and of this city. The Champions League is my most wonderful memory because it was certainly the most beautiful and important game of my career. It is just stuck in my head.”

Diego Milito cannot help but to look back at those memories in an interview with the Corriere dello Sport and Rai.

“Conte? He is a great coach and he has shown it throughout his career. I, as a fan, hope that he can achieve great results for Inter. Can Conte be what Mourinho was 9 years ago? Again, I repeat, I hope so. But comparisons are difficult to make: Mourinho will always remain a special coach for all Inter fans because he did extraordinary things here and is in the club’s history.”

Would you keep Mauro Icardi?

“These assessments are for the club to make. It is difficult to answer this question because I am far away and do not know what really happened. Surely the club will try to solve this case in the best way.”
