New Inter-Juve phone contact, Dybala and Icardi exchange remains on the table and is a work in progress
There was new telephone contact in late afternoon between Inter and Juventus to discuss the possible exchange between Paulo Dybala and Mauro Icardi. This remains the best solution for both clubs in terms of allowing them to receive rich capital gains to settle their books. New contact was needed to understand if this is going to be an equal exchange, as Suning prefers, or with a cash infection of between €15m-€20m as requested by Paratici given the difference on the balance sheet of the two players: Icardi weighs €2.5m on the Inter’s budget, Dybala is €18m. Diplomacy is needed as work continues to find the right balance for all.
In recent days, there have been multiple rumors suggesting that Paulo Dybala is not too fond of joining the Nerazzurri. As reported by FCIN, this is not true because according to the player’s brother and agent, Mariano, there is no rejection on the part of Dybala towards Inter. Instead, Marotta’s appreciation makes the Argentinian of Juventus even more proud. Let’s not forget that it was the CEO of Inter that brought Dybala from Palermo to Juventus in 2015. Currently, La Joya is not in a hurry because he is completely focused on Copa America with his national team. A good tournament here would increase his value, opening up many more scenarios with Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich in the background. Let’s not forget that Juventus have yet to announce their new coach which is likely to be Sarri. Dybala does not fit in his system and Sarri wanted Icardi years back.
Speaking of Icardi, his management team will not meet Inter, at least not soon. But they maintain the desire of seeing the striker in training camp which starts in less than a month. Unlikely given that in the eyes of Inter ownership and executives, the number 9 is no longer wanted, needed and in the plans of Conte. Therefore, he must be sold as soon as possible. If it’s a goodbye, Juventus are his first choice.
