Negotiation for Barella is not quite there yet... but Inter are not at all worried
These are hectic days, full of rumors, theories, ideas, informal negotiations and first contacts. Inter continue working tirelessly in search of a new midfielder for Antonio Conte.
These are also very “hot” days with regards to negotiation for Nicolo Barella and his agent was at Inter HQ yesterday. Does that mean we are at the final push? Not yet, for many reasons.
The first is the long-awaited meeting between Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta and Cagliari president Tommaso Giulino will not take place before next week because of work commitments that have brought the Rossoblu number one abroad. He will return to Milan on Sunday night.
And then there is still a substantial distance between offer and demand as Giulini said it himself on Wednesday night: “Inter made as a serious offer that we are evaluating but it does not satisfy us.” Everything revolves around technical counterparts which both sides are still working on.
Inter are in no hurry because Barella’s will is to wear the Nerazzurri shirt and to debut in the Champions League as protagonist. With the Italian, there is already an agreement for five years worth €2.5m. And so Inter do not seem worried about the continuous rumors of possible inclusion of other clubs.
Barella is among the best midfielders of the Italian league and he has also gained a central role in Mancini’s national team. He is talented, he is very good and he is waiting...
