Standard Liège offering €20m for Emmers and Vanheusden, all of which should be capital gains. Negotiations are not done but Inter wouldn't say no
Just like a year ago, the second half of June for Inter is all about hunting for capital gains. And this time, the club’s strategy seems to be similar to that of 2018: not trying to sacrifice big names but instead aiming to sell the most interesting young players. By June 30th, Inter need to make close to €40m to stay within the financial parameter of UEFA FFP.
Until a few days ago, it was thought that Inter were in a hurry to sell Icardi to settle accounts but in reality, Marotta and Ausilio are working on other operations. Inter could soon make half of it thanks to defender Zinho Vanheusden and midfielder Xian Emmers: Standard Liege, where Vanheusden played on loan this year, have offered €20m for the two Belgians. Negotiations have not completely taken off but Inter would not say no to that kind of offer.
