Suning has flipped Inter upside down: €179m in revenues in 2016, more than €360m today. Inter are now healthy and capable of self-sustaining
On the third anniversary of Sunning becoming Inter’s owner, the Corriere dello Sport praises the work of the Chinese company and in particular Steven Zhang who is working hard to bring Inter back to the very top of world football.
With Zhang, Inter were not simply transformed, but the club has been flipped completely upside down. It was fundamental to complete the economic recovery work agreed by Thohir with UEFA in 2015. The club is now out of settlement agreement thanks to a virtuous path favored by the increase in revenues which was only €179m in 2016 and then €262m in 2017, €281m in 2018 and now €360m in 2019. This achievement is ultimately accomplished thanks to Champions League money and €100m from sponsorships in China. Now, Inter are a healthy club capable of sustaining.
