The Joaos are leaving Inter: AS Monaco are working to sign both Miranda and Mario
The Joaos are leaving. We are talking about Mario and Miranda: both are friends off the pitch and they could also find themselves as teammates even for next season playing for AS Monaco. According to FCIN, their emissaries are in Milan to understand the conditions of doing a double operation which is complex but possible.
For Joao Mario, the offer of recent days for him was €3M loan plus option to buy at €15M which can become obligation after certain requirements are met (team objectives, number of games played etc…). The major sponsor that the Portuguese midfielder has in Monaco is coach Leandro Jardim who has known him well since Sporting Lisbon days. Inter, however, would like to sell him outright or at least with obligation to buy. On him, there are West Ham and Leicester but let’s not rule out a move to China, something that intermediary Nelio Lucas is working on.
Brazilian Joao Miranda wants to stay in Europe and so he is not considering returning home, not yet anyway. The defender is on his last year of contract and earns €3.5M. Monaco are in contact and would be willing to give Miranda two-year deal. There is also Marseille which is looking for Adil Rami’s heir, but for now, no direct proposals have been received by Inter only request for information.
