Frank De Boer: "Coaching Atlanta United is more relaxing than at Inter. With more patience, I would have done well there"
Speaking to De Telegraaf, Frank De Boer recalled his Inter experience.
“At Inter, a player’s agent came and said to me: ‘If I had known that you wouldn’t have left my client play, I’d have never given the permission for you to become the coach.’ This is to make people understand how far their influence goes in that club. I was shocked that there was no action taken against him. In that sense, working here (Atlanta United) is a lot more relaxing. I’m sure I’d have done well for the Nerazzurri if more patience was given to me. Inside me, there is still disappointment for not being able to prove what I could really do there. I want to show once again that I can also succeed at a high-level European competition.”
