Marotta returning from China: "There's great optimism, Conte is more serene after our meeting"

The trip to China for Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio was a positive one. The two Inter executives arrived in Nanjing last Sunday and had as many as three meetings with Zhang on Conte to speak about the current situation of the transfer market.

Speaking to reporters moments ago at the airport upon on their return, Marotta said that “it’s all positive and we can see the work that Conte is putting in. We reassured him and we are very happy. There’s still something missing but there’s much optimism as well. It’s right that for everyone to be under pressure. Conte is now more serene after our meeting.”
