Zamorano: "Inter are doing well building a good team. Conte and Godin are key acquisitions and Lukaku would be great as well"
“I believe that management of Inter is building a good team, I like the appointment of Antonio Conte on the bench because he can give more in terms of character and tactical discipline. His teams always play well and make their opponents suffer. I am confident that this year Inter can fight for the Scudetto.”
That was Ivan Zamorano speaking to Tuttosport about the current events happening at Inter as the team is preparing for the new season.
“If there’s a favorite? Well, it’s Juventus who have been winning for several years in a row. Then there are clubs like Inter, Napoli and Roma that can fight for something important too, trying to beat the Bianconeri. Lukaku? I really like him because he is a very good striker. He would be just fine in Italy because he has strength, power, quality and can score many goals. He would be a great reinforcement for the Nerazzurri.”
But let’s not forget Lautaro…
“It’s true because he is improving as a footballer. He has a great future ahead and next season could be decisive and positive for him.”
Godin’s arrival will raise the team’s technical and experience level quite a bit.
“Godin is a leader. He showed that at Atletico Madrid and in the Uruguayan national team. He is an important player and the right man for Inter because besides being fundamental on the pitch, he is also that in the dressing room. His international experience will be decisive even in the Champions League.”
What do you think about the cases of Nainggolan and Icardi?
“These are internal decisions that the club has taken. The goal is to maintain balance and serene atmosphere within the dressing room.”
