Zanetti: "No offer for Lautaro, he did well in his first year and I hope he continues like this"
Speaking to TyC Sports, Javier Zanetti first talked about Brazil-Argentina match in Copa America.
“I’m sad because Argentina played a very good match against a great opponent. Both teams were on par. In fact, Argentina were superior in certain situations and there’s bitter taste for how we played but still lost. Messi’s words on the referees? There are tools to help the referee but that wasn’t utilized in some key plays. Brazil’s second goal could have been a penalty for Argentina and red card for Dani Alves. There’s technology and the possibility of getting helped by VAR and it wasn’t used which makes me think.”
On the rumored offer for Lautaro.
“Inter didn’t receive any offer. I hope Lautaro continues like this because for us he’s an important player and we see him in our shirt. I’m very happy because he did well in his first season, it wasn’t easy and he showed personality at 21 years old.”
