The process of Italianizing Inter continues: should Biraghi come, this club would have 12 Italian players in the squad
Giuseppe Marotta’s intention is to Italianize Inter and his latest target in Cristiano Biraghi once again proves it. According to Tuttosport, the current Inter CEO had a lot of success in the past by building a core full of Italian (Buffon, Del Piero, Chiellini, Bonucci and Marchisio etc…) and he looks to do the same here at Inter.
Marotta’s philosophy is fully supported by Conte and everything starts with the signing of Sensi and Barella, then confirmation of Bastoni and appreciation for Esposito. In the squad, should Biraghi arrive, there would be 12 Italian players: Padelli, Berni, Ranocchia, Bastoni, D’Ambrosio, Gagliardini, Barella, Sensi, Candreva, Politano and Esposito (Dimarco too but he should leave for another signing).
And it brings back the memories of the two-year era of Lippi and in the 2000-2001 season, when stationed at Appiano were Di Biagio, Vieri, Cirillo, Ferrari, Serena, Brocchi, Macellari, Ballotta, Ferrante, Pirlo, Robbiati and Colombo. But in that team, only Di Biagio and Vieri were starters.
