Lautaro Martinez and Inter to meet in October to discuss new contract: significant boost in wages and perhaps even release clause
Inter want to lock up Lautaro Martinez to a long-term contract. The Argentinian scored a 22-minute hat-trick yesterday against Mexico and, after positive Copa America, once again confirmed the humongous potential that he has.
The Nerazzurri are enjoying the great form that their number 10 is enjoying and are working on a new contract. By mid-October, a meeting is expected with the player and his agent to talk about a renewal until 2024 with a significant wage increase. For now, Lautaro makes €1.5M and is one of the least paid players in the squad.
However, according to FCIN, Suning is about to give Il Toro a major boost: going from €1.5M to €2.7M. The player’s €111M release clause could also be another topic of discussion in a few weeks: that figure could soon become too low if the number 10 continues to improve exponentially.
