Conte to consider giving Gabriel Barbosa opportunity in January 2020 then will make final decision on future: Inter want €30M
After scoring a ton of goals, Gabriel Barbosa returns to the national team and consequently his price tag has gone up. Inter? They cannot be more pleased.
The striker is on loan at Flamengo until December 31 and in this calendar year, he has so far scored 30 goals in 40 matches, 16 in the league where he is top scorer (Barbosa won this title last year with Santos). In the summer, the Brazilian club management made a quick trip to Milan and confirmed that they would acquire Barbosa for €18M: this figure would allow Marotta to record a slight capital gain on the balance sheet.
But this great run of goals has attracted the attention of several European clubs that might be interested already in January 2020. This is why Inter now value the player at €30M: and if he continues scoring even for the national team, striking a deal wouldn’t be difficult.
Conte? Well, he may want to have Barbosa in Appiano Gentile for a couple of weeks before making final decision.
