Celebrity Inter fans distance themselves from Curva Nord and its statement: "It's a shame that I share the same passion with them. Racism is not a game"
The letter of Curva Nord defending the racists in Cagliari has really divided the fanbase of Inter, given that several celebrity fans of the club have decided to distance themselves from that ultras group.
Enrico Mentana, director of LA7 news problem, says that “like any Inter fan who loves the values of sport, I’m ashamed to share my passion with them.” Then Enrico Bertolino, a comic and TV host, strongly condemns the letter, saying that “racism is not a game. I would have appreciated more from the Nord a letter dedicated to Giacinto Fachetti given yesterday was 13th anniversary of his death.”
Finally, the comment of Gianfelice Fachetti, son of Giacinto:
“Unfortunately there are things already seen and heard from the Curva. If you want to make the opponents nervous then you whistle, you don’t monkey chant at them. We must ensure that being civilized reigns supreme in the stadiums.”
