Report - In players' contracts, there will no longer be bonuses for making Champions League, it's now a must
Inter are now completely new with Giuseppe Marotta in management and Antonio Conte on the bench. It is a sort of philosophical revolution at the club which already sees benefits after the first two matches of the season.
Inter will also confirm Piero Ausilio in its future projects (renewal done, announcement soon) and of course last summer the club brought back Gabriele Oriali as technical team manager.
In addition to personnel changes, objectives have also changed: there is no longer bonuses in players’ contracts for making the Champions League. This is the sign to raise the bar and that playing in that competition must be a fixed accomplishment to happen every year.
The club’s presence in the Champions League in the last two years allowed Giuseppe Marotta and Steven Zhang to carry out a shopping campaign worth over €180M, this came in a summer that the club sent out its biggest assets in Icardi, Perisic, Nainggolan and others on loan but at the same time, solving a ticking time bomb case like that of the former captain was important.
