“I would like Mauro to play for Boca one day.”

Speaking on the phone to television program Morfi Telefe in Argentina, Wanda Nara is back to talk about her husband a few days after the end of the transfer market which saw the striker moving to Ligue 1 in the shirt of Paris Saint Germain.

“Despite being a River Plate fan, I would not put up obstacles against it. I would love to go back to my country. But there was never a serious proposal from Boca. If I waited until the final moment, I did it because I had an ace up my sleeve. I knew that he was going to a different club. No one else knew, the kids didn’t know either. Mauro then was already gone to Paris. I packed a small suitcase and left, leaving behind with me everything. My kids go to school in Italy and so we will go back and forth between Milan and Paris.”

On the subject of managing other players.

“I couldn’t because managing Mauro is very intense. There are so many things to do. I was offered other players, by their wives. But anyone who knows me knows that I’m not looking for commercial interest of my own. I do it for the love I have for Mauro.”

On the options available in past summer window.

“Among the options that we had, going to PSG was the worst for me because I have to go back with the kids. But I thought about him. There were many important teams in Italy that wanted him and they would have been more comfortable to choose.”
